- ➤ ECU celebrated nearly 1,800 graduates + diverse backgrounds at Minges Coliseum on Friday, Dec. 19 as Miami Marlins manager Clayton McCullough, an ECU alumnus, urged students to continue learning and growing into new chapters. East Carolina University
- ➤ East Carolina University students won a national robotics competition in Greenville, showing their skills by building powerful robots during the contest. Their win highlights local talent on campus. The Daily Reflector
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City workers installed new crosswalk upgrades at a busy Greenville intersection this week. Officials said the improvements will boost pedestrian safety and help guide traffic. WITN
- ➤ The new Havelock bypass opened Friday, cutting 15 traffic signals along Highway 70 (saving drivers time), though some local stores worry about fewer passersby. The 10-mile project cost $323 million as delays pushed costs well above early plans. WITN
