- ➤ Judco Manufacturing will relocate its headquarters to Carolina Drive in Snow Hill, bringing 60 new jobs and a $5.3 million investment in its research and development operations. Governor Stein announced a $125,000 performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund to help boost local earnings (with average starting wages at $44,001, above Greene County's average). WITN

- ➤ ECU’s School of Music increased scholarships for music students after a gift from long-time faculty member Bea Chauncey—doubling awards from 85 scholarships totaling $290,000 to 125 scholarships totaling $480,000 last fall.
