- ➤ Pitt County Schools earned national recognition for innovative healthy meals—one of 14 districts statewide to win the Healthy Meal Incentive Award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Action for Healthy Kids. The award gives the district access to grants and national exposure—boosting its efforts to include students in menu planning and promote nutritious eating. WITN

- ➤ Governor Josh Stein announced that the state's medical debt program has cleared more than $6.5 billion in debt for over 2.5 million North Carolinians, and he urged Washington to extend ACA subsidies to keep insurance costs from rising due to possible Medicaid cuts. WITN
