- ➤ On September 4th, 49-year-old registered sex offender Ardell Williams was arrested in Pitt County for failing to update his Greenville address—he was later released on a $15,000 secured bond. WITN
- ➤ Beaufort County deputies responded to a 911 call on Sunday at a home on Highway 102 in Chocowinity—airlifting the injured man to ECU Health in Greenville where he later died and arresting suspect Cody Mitchell, who was charged with murder. WITN
- ➤ A 19-year-old (Jordan Jones) punched an ECU police officer on Sunday outside Still Life at 511 Cotance Street as the officer tried to break up a fight, causing his nose to bleed and his eye to be injured before Jones was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting a public officer, and assault on a government official with a $5,000 bond.
