ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A Wednesday morning crash temporarily closed a key Greenville intersection—officials cleared debris—and it has now reopened.  WITN

CRIME NEWS

  • Yesterday, Pitt County deputies responded to a report of a stabbing on Olivia Drive at 2:15 p.m., where they found a 43-year-old man with a stab wound to the arm and promptly arrested a 63-year-old woman—charged with attempted first-degree murder.  WITN
  • A Greenville driver was cited after a crash Wednesday morning—police cleared the scene and reopened the intersection once the incident was resolved.  WITN
  • Greenville’s Special Response Team is helping with a wanted person barricaded in the OYO Hotel—on West Boulevard in Williamston—while Martin County Sheriff said officers have contained the area and the police chief will share a media release when ready.  WITN

CULTURE NEWS

  • 101.9 Kiss FM will bring its KISS LIVE: Radio show live on stage to Greenville State Theater on September 27th, running from 10pm to 2 am — featuring interactive contests, live performances, and music — with tickets costing $14.50 in advance or $20 at the door.  WITN

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Sam Forster, the music and choir director at Greenville Christian Academy, was named Teacher of the Week after nearly tripling the school’s music program since joining in 2020 — his bands have won state and national competitions thanks to his guidance.  WITN
