Saving Graces 4 Felines and WITN are working to find a fur-ever home for Melly—one of six kittens rescued from a pallet behind a local store—who loves to play and be with people and other cats.

Interested adopters can adopt her alone or with another cat at an adoption fee of $95 with a good vet reference required.

The 40th Winterville Watermelon Festival is kicking off today in Winterville with live music, food, and family activities—local organizers say the event continues a long-held community tradition.
