- ➤ The Building Hope Community Life Center hosted a back to school bash on Saturday at Saint James United Methodist Church where a yard sale offered clothes, kitchen items and books at low prices. Free popcorn, snow cones, a bounce house and outdoor games were also provided through a partnership with the church — the event celebrates 25 years of community service. WITN
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A gas leak early Saturday morning led to a closure at the intersection of Greenville Blvd and Red Banks Road as first responders and utility crews worked to fix the leak (no reopening time has been set). WITN
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Greenville City Council voted 5–1 to clear a nearly 350-unit multi-family housing development at Dickinson Avenue and Allen Road; the project is set to bring new housing options to our community. The Daily Reflector
