- ➤ A Greenville man, 28-year-old Jeffrey Rouse Jr., was arrested in Jacksonville and charged with elder exploitation involving a family member, 27 counts of felony identity theft, and attempted property acquisition by false pretense—further charges are expected as the investigation continues. WITN

- ➤ ECU economics professor Nick Rupp said that tariffs may keep inflation above the Fed's target as the Commerce Department reported prices in June rose to 2.6% from 2.4% in May.
