- ➤ Law enforcement agencies hosted National Night Out on Tuesday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at two Pitt County sites—Bell Arthur EMS on Stantonsburg Road and Bethel School on East Washington Street, where deputies served hot dogs and hosted games to connect with residents. Other agencies in New Bern and Washington also held similar events that offered family fun and community connection. WITN
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Five second-year medical students and five MFA candidates met at the Fine Arts Building to shape clay in a pinch pot workshop that built connections between art and patient care. The session, led by instructor Tansy Obryant, introduced a new medical humanities track set to double its enrollment next year—highlighting medicine’s growing embrace of creative learning.
