- ➤ NASA will launch its NISAR mission on Wednesday, July 30th to measure small shifts in the Earth’s surface using data that can detect changes as slight as half an inch — this joint project with the Indian Space Research Organization will help scientists in Greenville track risks like flooding during hurricane season. - ➤ Contract crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation will extend the Dickinson Road closure across Reade Circle next week in Greenville—motorists are advised to plan alternate routes. The Daily Reflector
- ➤ Allen Thomas, a former Greenville mayor, will lead the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association as its new president and CEO starting August 29 + he will work with retiring president Lynn Minges as his advisor until year's end. He will work to strengthen workforce pipelines + support pro-business policies for more than 22,000 hospitality businesses. WITN

- ➤ In Greenville, the American Cancer Society launched a wellness program at McConnell Rabb Hope Lodge to support cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. The Empower open house showcased activities—line dancing, arts and crafts, and yoga—and will offer ongoing chances for relaxation and mental health support during treatment. WITN
