GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Work has begun on the Town Common bulkhead and esplanade project—this effort aims to boost flood protection and safeguard local property from future flooding. The Daily Reflector
- ➤ Starting August 4, Ayden will have GFL manage trash and recycling services because some town trucks were often out of service while fees remain the same until a board review may raise them by $2 to $3 per month. Commissioner Johnny Davis said GFL will use its own workers and Public Works will still handle yard debris—employees report no one will lose their job. WITN
