- ➤ An Iranian national pleaded guilty in a North Carolina federal court on Tuesday for his role in a ransomware scheme that targeted Greenville and other U.S. cities—attackers encrypted computer networks, causing work disruptions and financial losses. Prosecutors said his operation used the RobbinHood variant and his sentencing is set for August. Public Radio East
- ➤ Police arrested 54-year-old Mark Joyner after he robbed a Burger King last Thursday by taking nearly $2,000 and threatening to use a handgun against three customers + he faces charges for two other armed robberies and is held without bond in Pitt County Jail with a court appearance scheduled for later today.
