  • Organizers announced Sunday afternoon that Greenville's annual Memorial Day ceremony has been moved indoors to River Park North today because of inclement weather.  The Daily Reflector

CRIME NEWS

  • A fight at Pinky’s Pub in New Bern on Sunday morning led to two stabbings, with 34-year-old Preston Blount and a police officer treated at ECU Health in Greenville—three suspects were arrested including Aaron Carter who faces serious assault charges, with their first court appearance set for May 27.  WITN
  • Pitt County authorities arrested registered sex offender D’Mario Williams after an investigation found he failed to update his registry address and was unlawfully near a playground at an apartment complex—Williams was given a $50,000 secured bond and remains in custody.  WITN
  • The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons is asking the public for help to find 70-year-old Vicky Born who has a memory problem and was last seen dropping someone off at Charles Boulevard and Red Banks Road while driving a white 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and may be headed to Poorman’s Flea Market.  WITN
  • Early Sunday morning a fight at Pinky's Pub in New Bern left two people injured—one a police officer taken to ECU Health in Greenville—and police arrested three suspects scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, May 27th.  WNCT
  • The Pitt County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help locate 71-year-old Gloria Daniels (5′3″, 172 pounds with black hair and brown eyes) who was last seen on Thursday in Grimesland wearing a red polka dot sundress and driving a powder blue Mazda 6 Grand Touring sedan.  WITN

  • East Carolina Baseball beat Tulane 8-2 Sunday afternoon to secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals, and the Pirates—who entered as a sixth seed—stayed undefeated in the double-elimination tournament. The team will learn today who they will play next weekend.  WITN
