  • Deputies identified Pamela Michele Whaley as the body found on April 3 at a vacant home on Blackjack Grimesland Road in Pitt County and they are investigating how the 57-year-old died.  WITN

  • Tomorrow, a Dave Matthews tribute band, DMTB (returning from last year's show), will perform classic songs like Ants Marching, What Would You Say, and Crash Into Me at the Greenville Toyota Amphitheater. The free concert draws fans seeking an enjoyable evening (food trucks and cold drinks from the Greenville Junior League will be available, though coolers are not allowed and dogs are welcome).  WITN

  • Entrepreneur and ECU alumnus John May ’93, a Greenville native, will deliver the spring commencement address on Friday, May 9 at 10 a.m. at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium — he founded CORE Industrial Partners and remains an active supporter of ECU.  WITN
  • At a Greenville event, 16 ECU IMBA students met with local and national employers at the Set Sail event where they received medallions and stoles to mark their achievements; they will begin their summer internships in Greenville, the Triangle, and New York after spring commencement in early May — organizers said this prepares them for successful careers.  East Carolina University
  • East Carolina University will hold its spring commencement ceremony on Friday, May 9 at 10 a.m. in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium with entrepreneur and ECU alumnus John May ’93— a Greenville native and managing partner of CORE Industrial Partners— set to deliver the keynote address before more than 4,600 graduates, families, and friends.  East Carolina University
