Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 21st of April.
Good morning, Greenville.
Starting today, crews from Barnhill Contracting Company will close Whichard Cherry Lane Road as part of a full-depth reclamation project that grinds and recompacts the roadway to build a stronger foundation.
After reopening the road, crews will work one at a time on Rams Horn Road and Lewis Dudley Road—drivers are advised to use N.C. 30 and U.S. 264 as detours.
Protesters gathered on Saturday afternoon at ECU for a 50501 ‘Hands Off’ rally to voice concerns about government policies.
Rally co-leader Michael Tann said over 100 people attended this protest—after 500 turned out at the first event—and more demonstrations are planned.
