- ➤ A celebration of life was held Wednesday afternoon in Greenville to honor local dentist Dr. Mark Bowman and his wife Robin Bowman who died in a plane crash from PGV on March 14—with friends, family, and former patients gathering at Rock Springs Event Center—less than a month after the crash occurred. - ➤ Pitt County District Attorney's Office ruled that Officer Brandon Gilbert acted in self-defense when he fatally shot 27-year-old Nolan Ward—who raised his gun at police—during a January 20th incident at ECU North Recreational Complex. WITN

- ➤ Grow Local introduced thousands of Pitt County students to local businesses and industries, giving them direct exposure to potential career paths. Dillon Patel, a junior at J.H. - ➤ On April 9th, ECU’s master’s and doctoral health sciences, nursing, and allied health programs earned top national rankings in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Graduate Schools.
