HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Today, state health officials reported that flu deaths have reached 263 this season after 27 new fatalities, including two children. The numbers are significantly lower than last season's count of 544. WITN
- ➤ North Carolina reported 18 measles cases since December (72% among unvaccinated), with one child hospitalized in Nash County and an infected person visiting five Raleigh locations while contagious; local pharmacists advise unvaccinated residents to vaccinate within 72 hours if exposed. WITN

- ➤ Kinston defeated J.H. Rose 71–64 Wednesday night in Greenville, NC after trailing by 10 points and rallying at halftime with standout plays from Jamarion Washington (25 points) and Keyshawn Herring (22 points).
