COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Greenville held its Noon Year’s Eve celebration (a family-friendly event) last Wednesday at Five Points Plaza after shifting the event from Town Common due to construction. The daytime party featured police and fire displays and emerald exhibits, with locals saying they hope to see it become a lasting tradition.  WITN

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Researchers from the U.S., South Korea, Germany, and Ireland found that as global temperatures rise, areas that typically get heavy rains may see extra rain — while drier areas face increased drought and fire risks later this century.
