ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ ECU Economics Professor Nicolas Rupp explained that North American automakers faced a sharp increase in tariffs on imported vehicles in July—over $1.1 billion on assembled vehicles and $276 million on parts from Canada and Mexico—and warned that new car prices are expected to rise 8%, pushing buyers toward the used market.
