- ➤ Pitt County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit arrested 21-year-old Jonathan W. Turner of Greenville for trafficking drugs—he is charged with multiple counts including trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. WNCT

- ➤ The third Concert on the Common event will have a Fleetwood Mac tribute band called Landslide play hits at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the Greenville Toyota Amphitheater—songs include Rhiannon and Don’t Stop. During intermission, Greenville Toyota will give a check to the Children’s Miracle Network at this free show—supporting local children in need. WITN

- ➤ Today, ECU hosts its sixth annual Spring Pharma Conference in Greenville, beginning at 9:45 a.m. with a welcome and keynote presentation featuring Mark Phillips from the N.C. Biotechnology Center, and it will offer breakout sessions and networking for more than 250 industry professionals from 99 organizations over two days. WITN
- ➤ Sherri Winslow received ECU’s Centennial Award for Excellence in Leadership in April for her work as a speech-language pathologist and teacher who has helped both patients and students.
