EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Pitt County Schools have requested more than $64 million—about $10 million more than previously—to cover teacher supplements, nurse staffing, facility repairs and student technology after a steep drop in state aid. County commissioners are holding workshops this week to bridge the gap between that request and the county manager’s recommendation of $61 million, with a final decision expected by June.
