- ➤ The Federal Reserve kept short-term interest rates at 3.6% as food prices rose 2.4% and the producer price index reached a one-year high of 3.4%, with ECU Economics Professor Nicholas Rupp noting that higher oil and gas prices may drive grocery costs even higher in Greenville. WITN

- ➤ ECU business student Fabiana de la Rosa leads the National Association of Black Accountants chapter and balances academics, entrepreneurship, and leadership — a role that sharpens her time management skills and inspires her peers at ECU. East Carolina University
- ➤ Alicia Fuller, a Pre-K teacher at Creekside Elementary in Winterville, is named Teacher of the Week for building a classroom where every child feels safe and valued. - ➤ Three longtime ECU faculty members—Dr. Colin S. Burns, Dr. Allison S. - ➤ ECU doctoral student Brendan Lake is recruiting rural heart failure patients for a low-salt diet study to help reduce hospital admissions in high-risk areas. He presented the study at the Wellderly Health & Wellness Fair in Jones County. WITN
