- ➤ Residents reported an unexpected water shutoff yesterday in parts of town and are asking local authorities for details on the cause (the investigation is ongoing) and restoration plans. Officials said they will update the community as soon as more information is available. WITN
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Farmville Central sophomore Aleyah Grottini made history by winning the 500-meter state title in Winston-Salem on Feb. 11 (she also set records in the 55 and 300-meter races) and now her Jaguars are training for the outdoor season. WITN
- ➤ ECU's baseball team lost 2 to 1 to Campbell at Buies Creek due to defensive errors — leaving them with a 1 win, 3 loss record. They return home today to host Northern Illinois at 4:00 p.m. before starting a three-game set against the Tar Heels on Friday. WITN
